Bee_eaters.jpgBuy Tickets Fiddler, composer, producer and educator,  Darol Anger is at home in a number of musical genres. Exceptional among modern fiddlers for his versatility and depth, Anger is a founding member of Republic Of Strings, the Turtle Island String Quartet, the David Grisman Quintet, Montreux, his Duo with Mike Marshall, and others. He has performed with the Swedish group Väsen, Bela Fleck, Edgar Meyer, Bill Frisell, David Grisman, Tony Rice, Tim O’Brien, and Stephane Grappelli. Today Darol can be heard on NPR’s “Car Talk” theme every week, along with Earl Scruggs, David Grisman and Tony Rice.  Emy Phelps is a prolific songwriter with a riveting voice that plumbs the deepest emotions. Brother-sister duo Tristan and Tashina Clarridge, long known and lauded by those steeped in the American fiddle tradition, are joined by hammer dulcimer wizard Simon Chrisman. Together, they draw on roots in bluegrass, Celtic, jazz, Appalachian old-time, Indian, and Scandinavian traditions. The Bee Eaters have collaborated with performers such as Laurie Lewis, Bruce Molsky, Aoife O’Donovan, and Sean Watkins of Nickel Creek. The Bee Eaters believe that music belongs in everyday life; a cultural expression in which all may participate.
