CALIFA! EPIC Benefit Sunday, January 15 at8pm Tickets will be $15 and $12 for students. Tickets are available at Wildberries, at the door or through EPIC at 707-822-7711. Doors open at 6:00 pm with delicious food and cocktails served. Music and dancing start at 8:00pm. CALIFA is a Balkan-Afro-Latin band featuring musicians from around the world including Fabrice Martinez and Ursula Knudson of Fishtank Ensemble, Rosa Rojas from Ballet Asfaneh and MoMo Loudiyi from Morrocco. CALIFA is known to enjoy party hopping all across the musical world- and has a dazzling concentration of love for music, dance, culture and beauty that permeates their performances. This event will be CALIFA’s premiere performance here in Humboldt County and should not be missed!

Ponche! Afro-Cuban Salsa Saturday, January 21 at 8pm Tickets $15 & $13 Ponche! is an eight-piece, Latin music power-house, and a favorite band of the dance community on the Northcoast. Join them as they fill up the Arcata Playhouse with their hot sound...with room to dance. This amazing band is making one of their few local appearances at the Playhouse. Come early for salsa dance lessons with Debbie Weist from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. and then try out your new moves on the dance floor.
